The government of India starts the PM Surya Ghar Yojana on 13 February 2024. The motive of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is to provide 300 free units of electricity to one crore households in the country. The online application for the PM Surya Ghar Yojana has been started on 13 February 2024.

Follow These Steps to Apply for the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

Step 1: Register in the PM Surya Ghar Yojana portal with the following Steps

  • PM Surya Ghar Registration New Format
  • Visit the website pmsuryaghar.gov.in
  • Click on the link “Apply for Rooftop Solar” or the direct link given below
  • Enter the Mobile Number and validate with the OTP
  • Select your State and District
  • Select your Electricity Distribution Company
  • Enter your Electricity Consumer Number
  • Enter The Consumer’s Name
  • Enter Email
  • Upload the Electricity Bill and the Photo of the rooftop/ other area where solar panels can be installed.
  • Then finally enter the captcha code and click on the submit button.

 

Step 2

  • Login with Consumer Number & Mobile Number
  • Apply for the Rooftop Solar as per the form

Step 3

  • Once you get the feasibility approval, get the plant installed by any of the registered vendors in your DISCOM

Step 4

  • Once installation is completed, submit the plant details and apply for a net meter

Step 5

A commissioning certificate will be generated from the portal, after the installation of the net meter and inspection by DISCOM

Step 6

Once you get the commissioning report, submit the bank account details and a canceled cheque through the portal. You will receive your subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.
