Recruitment of CISF Firemen for 2024

For the temporary position of Fireman, CISF is accepting applications online from suitable male Indian residents. Candidates for the 36 states and UTs will be sought for by the authority, and once appointed, they will be subject to the CISF Act and its regulations.

The announcement notes that CISF intends to fill 1130 open fireman positions throughout the several states and UTs. Online applications for the Fireman recruitment campaign will be accepted from August 31, 2024, until September 30, 2024, for interested candidates.

The applicants will be chosen based on how well they do in the CBT/OMR-based Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test, and Document Verification. The selected applicants would be paid Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) upon employment.

CISF Fireman Qualifications for 2024

Candidates who want to work for the CISF can use the following qualifying criteria to see if they qualify to apply for the Fireman position:

Maximum Age:

• By September 30, 2024, the online application deadline, applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years old, with a maximum age of twenty-three.
• For those impacted by the 1984 riots (UR-5 years, OBC-8 years, and SC/ST-10 years), ex-servicemen (3 years after subtracting the military service age), and SC/ST (5 years), the maximum age is lowered.

Qualifications for Education:

• On or before the application deadline, candidates must have successfully completed the intermediate or equivalent course or certificate from an accredited board or university in the scientific stream.

CISF Fireman Selection Process 2024

The CISF will select the candidates for the post of Fireman based on the following selection process:

• Physical Efficiency Test: The authority will call all the applicants for the PET on the designated date & venue. The candidate who clears the running event & height bard test of PET will qualify for the Physical Standard Test (PST). The Ex-servicemen are exempted from the PET, they will directly qualify for the PST.
• Physical Standard Test: The Recruiting officers will screen height(170 cms ), chest (80-85 cms), and weight to assess the capability of the candidates for the post. The candidates should note the qualification for PST is relaxed for some candidates, so you should check the notification for detailed info.
• Document Verification: Applicants who clear PET, followed by PST will be called for document verification, the candidates are advised to produce all the original documents for the screening.
• Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in PET/PST/DV will be eligible to sit for the 100-mark written examination in subjects- General Knowledge and awareness, English/Hindi, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and Elementary mathematics.

The candidates who successfully qualify for the PET/PST/DV/Written examination will be shortlisted based on their written examination scores for medical examinations.
