Srinagar, November 7 : Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced a syllabus relaxation for students set to appear for exams in mid-November, following the shift in the academic calendar from March to November. This change, prompted by the likelihood of snowfall in winter zones, aims to accommodate students and ease the transition to the new schedule.
The exams, originally planned for March, will now take place in mid-November. Minister Itoo assured students and parents that the government has considered their concerns and will provide syllabus relaxation for students up to class 9 after consulting with relevant stakeholders.
“This measure will help address the concerns of students and parents across Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring a smoother adjustment to the revised academic calendar,” Minister Itoo told Kashmir News Trust.
Additionally, schools have begun issuing admission notifications for lower classes in alignment with the new academic schedule
